History
India adopted a DPM-derived woodland as its standard combat dress in the 1990s. A new digital pattern developed with NIFT was unveiled in 2022 and is replacing it, partly to curb unauthorized civilian sale of the old cloth.
In the field
Serviceable in India's varied green terrain; its replacement was driven as much by uniform control as by concealment.
