Nikon's discontinued consumer night-vision monocular, sold in the late 1990s through camera and marine dealers — an image-intensifier tube with a built-in IR illuminator and automatic brightness control. An observation tool for watching wildlife and property at night, not night vision for moving or shooting under: it is handheld only, there is no helmet mount, and the IR lamp it needs in real dark is a lit bulb to anyone else running a tube. Used market only.
