History
Hornady's Dave Emary and High Power champion Dennis DeMille designed the 6.5 Creedmoor in 2007 as a factory match cartridge that fit short actions and fed long, sleek bullets. It rode the precision-rifle boom to become the fastest-adopted rifle cartridge in modern memory. USSOCOM's interest in it for sniper support rifles sealed its credibility.
