6mm ARC

Arguably the best all-around ballistics ever squeezed from the AR-15 envelope — the catch is a modest ammo catalog and Grendel-bolt logistics.

History

Hornady built the 6mm ARC in 2020 on the 6.5 Grendel case at the request of a Defense Department entity wanting more reach from the AR-15 platform. It brings genuine long-range ballistics to the small-frame AR with modest recoil. It has grown steadily among precision gas-gun and deer-hunting crowds.
