History
Printed on windproof oversuits from about 1942 and issued to SAS, commandos, snipers and mountain troops. The garments stayed in sniper and special-forces use well after the war, and the soft-edged splodges prefigure later British brush camouflage.
In the field
Meant to be worn over kit across varied terrain; the washed-out tones work better in the field than they look on the rack.
