History
Britain rushed desert DPM into service around the 1991 Gulf War, quickly settling on the low-contrast two-color version. It clothed UK forces through Iraq and Afghanistan until MTP replaced all DPM variants from 2010. Surplus is abundant and cheap.
In the field
Effective in open sand and very cheap as surplus; low contrast means it reads almost plain tan at distance.
