The Soviet KLMK oversuit appeared in the late 1960s, printed with a two-tone stair-step texture partly intended to defeat early image intensifiers. It was issued to engineers, scouts and border troops rather than the whole army. Production ended with the USSR, though suits lingered in post-Soviet service.
