History
East Germany adopted Strichtarn in 1965, replacing the earlier blob-pattern Flaechentarn with sparse vertical dashes. The NVA wore it until reunification in 1990, and it was exported to allied states and movements in Africa and the Middle East. Reunification dumped vast surplus stocks onto the market.

Minimal disruptive value — it reads nearly solid at distance — but it is iconic Cold War kit and surplus is dirt cheap.
