History
Belgium introduced its interlocking puzzle pattern in the mid-1950s for paracommandos. It became familiar worldwide through Belgian operations and supplied stocks in the Congo. The original was retired in the 1990s, though Belgium's later patterns keep a jigsaw-derived look.
In the field
Decent temperate woodland performance; the puzzle-piece edges make it one of the easiest patterns to identify.
